Ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League season, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have introduced a new team logo, describing it as more than just a visual redesign.
In an official statement, the franchise said the emblem reflects the spirit of the city and the state, along with the unwavering support of its fans since inception. The new design combines three symbols &mdash; Garuda, the Crown and the Elephant &mdash; each representing elements closely associated with Uttar Pradesh.
"Today, Lucknow Super Giants unveil a new logo. Not just a new design. Not just a new look. But a symbol that carries the spirit of this city, this state, and every fan who has stood by the team from the very beginning. This new emblem brings together three powerful symbols, Garuda, the Crown, and the Elephant, each telling a story that feels deeply personal to Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh," the franchise said in its statement.

Elaborating on the meaning behind the elements, LSG stated, "Garuda represents courage. The courage to rise, to take on challenges, and to never back down. It reflects the fearless cricket the Super Giants strive to play and the belief that no dream is too big when you rise together. The Crown stands for pride and responsibility. Every time the team walks onto the field, it carries the hopes of millions. The Crown is a reminder that wearing this jersey is an honour and that honour must be earned every single day. At the heart of the logo stands the Elephant. The Elephant represents strength, wisdom, patience, and unity. It reflects the steady support of the fans, the kind of loyalty that does not waver with one result but stands strong season after season."
Sharing his views on the new identity, Shashwat Goenka, Owner of Lucknow Super Giants and Vice Chairman of RPSG Group, said, "This new logo is deeply emotional for us. The people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh welcomed the Super Giants into their hearts from day one. This symbol is a tribute to that love and belief. Garuda reflects our dreams to rise higher. Lucknow Super Giants have named former Australia all-rounder Tom Moody as their global director of cricket for the upcoming IPL season.

Indian Premier League (IPL) side Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday appointed former Australia all-rounder Tom Moody as their global director of cricket for the upcoming season of the lucrative T20 league.
The 60-year-old Moody has had two coaching stints with Sunrisers Hyderabad. He left the franchise in 2022 when Brian Lara took over as head coach.

Former India bowling coach Bharat Arun, who recently ended his ties with Kolkata Knight Riders, has been roped in by Lucknow Super Giants in the same capacity even as the official announcement is awaited.
"Yes, Arun has joined LSG and a formal announcement is expected soon," a source close to the franchise told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
Arun for the past few years was associated with KKR but after a poor eighth place finish in 2025, the Shah Rukh Khan-owned franchise is in the process of rejigging its coaching staff with Abhishek Nayar and Dwayne Bravo all set to call the shots.
Hence Chandrakant Pandit and Arun, the two veterans parted ways.
Similarly, after a seventh place finish in the last edition, LSG are also making changes to their support staff.
The LSG bowling wasn't top notch during last season and much of it could be attributed to the absence of India's fastest bowler Mayank Yadav from all but two games.
Arun, one of the finest bowling coaches the national team has ever had, is respected for his strategic acumen as well as grooming talented pacers.
Details are also awaited as to whether LSG will be renewing contract with their mentor Zaheer Khan. The former India great had a contract of one year and it will be interesting to see if it is renewed. Ditto for head coach Justin Langer, who has been around for a couple of seasons.&nbsp;

Rishabh Pant, the trailblazing wicketkeeper, has been appointed as the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, the franchise announced on Monday.
The 27-year-old, who made history during the IPL auction in November by being sold to Lucknow for Rs 27 crores ($3.2 million), joins the team for the upcoming edition of the lucrative T20 tournament.
Pant, known for his flamboyant left-handed batting, returned to captain Delhi Capitals last season after a 14-month hiatus from elite cricket due to a car accident. However, he parted ways with the Capitals after the team finished sixth in the 2024 IPL season standings.
"I see a born leader in Rishabh Pant. From my point of view, he will be probably the best captain IPL has seen," said Sanjiv Goenka, the owner of Lucknow, during a special TV broadcast. "Surely Rishabh Pant will play for at least 14-15 years for us, we hope at least five IPL titles in these years."
Pant has represented India in 150 international matches across all three formats, amassing 5,028 runs, including seven centuries.
The 18th edition of the IPL is set to commence on March 21, with the opening match scheduled to be held in Kolkata, while the final will take place on May 25, according to reports from Indian media.

Lucknow constructed their 181/5 around Quinton De Kock&rsquo;s 81 (56b) and Nicholas Pooran&rsquo;s unbeaten 40 (21b).
RCB threatened to miraculously scale 182 briefly through Mahipal Lomror, who produced a forceful 33 off 13 balls.
However, Mayank&rsquo;s scorching three-wicket haul (3/14) was not to be denied as the hosts were bundled out for 153.
But in reality, RCB&rsquo;s chase never really took off &ndash; partly by their own follies and partly by the excellence of Lucknow bowlers.
Lucknow opened the bowling with two spinners &ndash; Manimaran Siddharth and Krunal Pandya &ndash; and it did surprise Faf du Plessis (19 off 13) and Virat Kohli (22 off 16).
But the introduction of pacer Naveen-ul-Haq saw Kohli upping the ante, smoking him for six over the bowler's head.
The left-arm spinner Siddharth soon fetched the massive wicket of in-form Kohli as the latter&rsquo;s attempt to go inside out resulted in a simple catch to Devdutt Padikkal at backward point.
RCB went on a slide from that point losing skipper du Plessis, to a mindless run-out, Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green and found themselves at 58 for four in the eighth over.
This was the period when Mayank cranked up the pace in his three-over spell (3-0-13-2).
Maxwell tried to pull a 151 kmph laser beam from Mayank, but the high pace meant that the Aussie could not time his pull, resulting in a simple catch to Pooran at short mid-wicket.
Green was beaten by Mayank&rsquo;s raw pace as the delivery straightened a bit after pitching on the good length to rattle his off-stump.
The right-arm quick later added Rajat Patidar (27) to his kitty to reduce RCB to 103 for six, and the home side was sinking fast then.
Earlier, De Kock manifested his exceptional hitting skills with a fifty but Lucknow could not progress beyond a par score.
The left-hander selected the bowlers and positions around the ground to play his shots with precision but the RCB bowlers did not allow other batsmen, except Pooran, a free run.
The Super Giants went off the block quickly, reaching 32 for no loss in three overs and then making it 54 in the Power Play.
Most of the runs came from the blade of De Kock, who took a particular liking for pacer Mohammed Siraj.
The South African slammed him for three sixes &ndash; two in succession &ndash; spread across two overs &ndash; two powerful pulls and a handsome loft over mid-wicket.
KL Rahul, who captained the side after coming in as an impact sub against Punjab Kings in the previous game, started slowly making six runs off his first 10 balls.
But a six off left-arm pacer Yash Dayal gave his innings momentum and later he swept spinner Maxwell for a six.
However, Rahul perished soon as an attempt to pull Maxwell&rsquo;s good length delivery ended up in the palms of Mayank Dagar inside the circle.
The second substantial alliance in LSG innings followed Devdutt Padikkal&rsquo;s exit as De Kock and Marcus Stoinis (24, 15b) added 56 runs off 30 balls for the third wicket.
De Kock, who brought his fifty in 36 balls, kept his end going during this alliance as Stoinis hammered a six each off Maxwell and Green as LSG rolled on.
But the blooming partnership ended when Stoinis&rsquo; half-hearted swat was pouched by Dagar at point. De Kock departed soon, lofting Reece Topley to Dagar at long-on.
The LSG were 143 for four in 16.3 overs at that stage and needed a few more runs to reach safer shores.
Pooran, who biffed left-armer seamer Topley for three sixes in a row in the 19th over and two more maximums in the final over off Mohammed Siraj, gave them those during his final assault.
While RCB were handed their 3rd loss in 4 outings, LSG registered their 2nd consecutive win.

Lucknow's run-chase began on a disastrous note as they found themselves 3 down with just 11 runs on the board.
That's when KL Rahul dropped anchor and kept his side in the contest with a gritty 44-ball-58. He had a decent support from Deepak Hooda but he went back after a fiery 13-ball-26.
Nicholas Pooran then supported his skipper as the two put together an 85-run stand for the 5th wicket before Rahul departed in the 17th over.
Pooran cut loose post that but his unbeaten 64 off 41 balls went in vain as LSG finished on 173/6.
While Rajasthan next take on the Delhi Capitals at the same ground on Thursday, LSG will head back home and will host the Punjab Kings in Lucknow on Saturday.
