Lucknow Super Giants were handed another defeat after two continuous losses by the Rajasthan Royals, denting their chances at climbing up the order.

After their dismal show at Ekana, assistant coach Lance Klusener was certain about the kind of performances they need going forward if they were to have a shot at winning the IPL.

In the post-match press conference, Klusener first elaborated that Ekana has never seen big scores so it isn't right to compare conditions and stadiums even as high-scoring games have become normal this year.

He then went on to emphasise on the necessary qualities required by them to keep the title within their reach, ' I think we just need to be a little bit more clinical. I think winning the IPL is about teams making sure that they're on top of everything batting, bowling, fielding.'

'For us to get deeper into the competition come later on in the month, we're going to have to make sure that we're putting all those little things together. We can't just bat well and not bowl well or field. So, we just need to make sure we put all that together,'Klusener added.

Klusener also provided a minor update on the absence of Mayank Yadav stating, 'You'll see Mayank very shortly.'

Yadav has been out of action since LSG's game against Gujarat Titans on April 07, 2024, after complaining of abdominal soreness. He has missed 4 games ever since.
