Twitter is letting you combine photos, videos, and GIFs in one tweet

Twitter users have never been able to post pictures, videos, and GIFs together in a same tweet, but now they can. The site has officially that now anyone can post a new tweet that includes more than one type of media.

Since July, Twitter had been slowly adding this feature to a small number of users. Before, tweets could only have a single GIF or video or a few photos. With this change, images, videos, and GIFs can all be added to a single tweet.

Twitter said in a blog post that today's change gives users even more ways to express themselves on the social network.

We are always looking for new and exciting ways to help creators share more and get seen. By putting together different kinds of visual content in a single Tweet, creators can say more than they could in 280 characters and have more ways to tell their story.

Users don't need to know much to make tweets that use both text and media. All you have to do is choose the photos, videos, and GIFs you want to share with your followers.

But there are some things that can't be done. For example, Twitter says you can only add up to four media files per tweet, and the new feature is only available in the official Twitter app for iOS and Android.

It's important to note that tweets with different types of media can be seen by anyone, like a Twitter user using a web browser to look at tweets.

Twitter's acquisition by Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been a roller coaster ride, but the company has also been working on other new features for its users.

This week, Twitter also began giving Blue subscribers the option to edit their tweets. The platform also announced a new way for smartphones to show full-screen vertical videos.
