Xiaomi 14 Civi India launch date revealed

Handset maker Xiaomi has officially confirmed the arrival of its next major smartphone in India: the Xiaomi 14 Civi. The device will launch on June 12, 2024.

The announcement was made on X, revealing the launch date and offering a glimpse of the phone's design.

Debut of the Civi series in India

This launch marks the debut of the Xiaomi Civi series in the Indian market.

Established in China since 2021, the Civi series is known for its focus on camera capabilities.

Expected specifications and features

While official specifications haven't been revealed yet, we can expect the Xiaomi 14 Civi to share similarities with the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro launched in China earlier this year.

The phone is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage are anticipated.

Perhaps the biggest highlight of the Xiaomi 14 Civi will be its Leica-tuned triple rear cameras, which could include a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP sensors with 2x optical zoom.

The Xiaomi 14 Civi's display is another area of potential strength. It may be a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The device will feature a 240Hz touch sampling rate for improved responsiveness, especially for gaming.

An impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits is also rumoured. Finally, the display could use a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
