Vivo V29, V29 Pro India launch confirmed: Check specs, expected price in India

Vivo, the popular smartphone company, is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated Vivo V29 series in India.

While Vivo has not officially confirmed the exact launch date, a teaser on the company's website suggests that the event will take place very soon.

The V29 series consists of two models: the Vivo V29 and the Vivo V29 Pro. Although some details have already been revealed, leaks and rumours have provided additional insights into what can be expected from these smartphones.

Design and Colours

One of the standout features of the Vivo V29 series is its distinct 3D particle design, lending an appealing aesthetic to the devices.

With a slim profile measuring a mere 7.46mm and weighing in at 186g, the phones effortlessly combine style and portability.

The smartphones will be available in three attractive colours: Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red, and Space Black.

Camera Capabilities

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the impressive camera capabilities of the Vivo V29 series.

The Pro variant is expected to feature a Sony IMX663 sensor, allowing for stunning portrait photography and potentially a 12-megapixel ultrawide shooter.

In contrast, the standard Vivo V29 might sport a primary 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor, along with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

Additionally, both models are rumoured to house a powerful 50MP front-facing camera, ensuring breathtaking selfies.

Display and Performance

The Vivo V29 Pro is anticipated to boast a curved screen, adding a touch of elegance to the device.

The global version of the Vivo V29 offers a substantial 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and HDR10+ support.

Consequently, users can expect vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling. Under the hood, the Vivo V29 (global edition) is powered by the impressive Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, ensuring fast and seamless performance.

Moreover, Funtouch OS, based on Android 13, will likely serve as the operating system for these smartphones.

Battery and Storage

In terms of battery life, the standard Vivo V29 model is rumoured to house a 4,600mAh battery, complemented by rapid 80W charging capabilities.

This equips users with reliable and efficient power supply. Memory-wise, the global edition of the Vivo V29 offers options of 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage, as well as a 12GB RAM variant with 256GB storage.

It is anticipated that the Vivo V29 Pro will come with similar memory configurations.

Pricing and Availability

The Vivo V29 series has already been released in the global market and is now making its way to India.

These smartphones are expected to be priced at less than ₹40,000, offering a competitive range of features and specifications for the price point.
