Motorola teases the imminent launch of the Edge 50 Ultra in India. Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, it will be the brand's flagship offering in the country.

Motorola India has officially teased the upcoming launch of the Edge 50 Ultra. This will be Motorola's most expensive smartphone in the country, leaving aside foldables.

Display and processing power

The Edge 50 Ultra boasts a stunning 6.7-inch pOLED display with a high resolution of 1220x2712 pixels and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate.

Supporting HDR10+ and reaching a peak brightness of 2500 nits, the display promises an immersive and vibrant viewing experience. Under the hood lies the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm process for efficient performance.

The Edge 50 Ultra caters to different user needs by offering a range of memory and storage options. Users can choose between configurations of 12GB RAM paired with 512GB storage, 16GB RAM with either 512GB or 1TB storage.

The UFS 4.0 storage ensures fast read and write speeds, allowing for smooth multitasking and app loading.

Camera system

Photography enthusiasts will likely find the Edge 50 Ultra's camera system impressive. It features a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an ultrawide sensor of 50MP.

Additionally, a 50MP front-facing camera caters to high-quality selfies and video calls. Video recording capabilities are impressive, supporting 4K resolution at up to 60fps on both the rear and front cameras.

Software and battery

The Edge 50 Ultra runs on the latest Android 14 operating system, ensuring access to the newest features and security updates.

Powering the device is a 4700mAh battery, which should provide sufficient power for daily usage.

The phone also supports a range of fast-charging options, including 125W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, allowing for quick and convenient battery replenishment.
