iPad 10th gen launched with USB-C, new design and higher price

Apple has launched the 10th gen iPad, but it's not much like last year's entry-level iPad.

To begin with, the new iPad adopts a thin-bezel design, with flat sides and a bigger 10.9-inch IPS LCD with 500 nits of peak brightness.

The iPad 10 has the A14 Bionic chip, which has a 6-core CPU, a 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine.

The tablet comes in Silver, Blue, Pink, and Yellow, as well as 64GB and 256GB versions with either Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + 5G.

Importantly, the 10th gen iPad uses USB-C and works with the first-generation Apple Pencil. However, it still supports the first-gen Apple Pencil which uses a lightning port for charging. Thankfully, Apple is including a USB-C to Lightning adapter in the box.

The front camera on the iPad 10th gen is a 12MP, f/2.4, 122-degree ultrawide camera that can be used in landscape mode. On the other end is a main camera with 12MP, f/1.8, AF, and 4K video.

Don't expect all these new features at the same old price, however. The 10th-generation iPad starts at ₹44,900 for the base 64GB Wi-Fi-only model, which is a significant price hike, to say the least.
