In this review, we'll cover the specs, features, price, as well as the pros and cons of the new Samsung Galaxy M34 5G. Before we get started, a point to consider is the phone's intriguing features, such as a 120Hz AMOLED screen, Optical image stabilization on the main camera, and a large 6,000 mAh battery, all of which are impressive for a phone costing under 19,000 Rupees.

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Design & Utility

The Galaxy M34 5G is reminiscent of other Samsung phones from 2023, characterized by vertically arranged circular camera modules and a clean, minimalist look.

However, the phone's all-plastic body with a glossy back makes it prone to fingerprint marks and minor scratches. Features such as a USB C port, a 3.5 mm jack, a single Dolby Atmos-enabled speaker, and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button can be found.

A flexible SIM tray accommodating two nano SIMs or one nano SIM plus an SD card is also present.

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Display

Samsung has packed the Galaxy M34 5G with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display, featuring a 120Hz high refresh rate. The display, rated at 1000 nits of peak brightness, ensures good visibility even under direct sunlight.

The AMOLED panel offers vibrant colors for an enjoyable content-watching experience. However, the absence of HDR support on Netflix is a slight letdown. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for added durability.

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Cameras

The Galaxy M34 5G sports a triple rear camera system, including a 50 MP primary camera with Optical image stabilisation, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera.

Despite being a budget device, it performs admirably well in outdoor environments but low-light photography could have been better. The 13MP front camera also produces good results in well-lit conditions, especially when using the portrait mode.

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Performance

Under the hood, the Galaxy M34 5G is powered by the 5-nanometer Exynos 1280 chipset. Paired with up to 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, the phone handles day-to-day usage and multitasking seamlessly. Gaming performance on popular titles like COD Mobile is also commendable.

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Software

One of the primary reasons to consider the Galaxy M34 5G is Samsung's unmatched software update policy. The phone runs on Android 13, supplemented by Samsung’s comprehensive One UI 5.1 skin. With Samsung Knox security, Samsung Pay, Pro video mode, and the full range of Android 13 features, the overall user experience is generally good.

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Battery

The Galaxy M34 5G features a substantial 6,000mAh battery, ensuring all-day usage. Despite its large capacity, the device is capable of 25W fast charging, although a charger is not included in the box.

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Price in India and Availability

Starting July 15, 2023, the Galaxy M34 5G is up for grabs on Amazon Prime Day Sale 2023, Samsung.com, and select retail outlets.

The smartphone is attractively priced at INR 16,999 for the 6+128GB model and INR 18,999 for the 8+128GB variant as a part of an introductory offer with certain bank cards.

Additionally, customers can take advantage of an enticing 9-month No Cost EMI offer when purchasing the Galaxy M34 5G.

Verdict

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G offers an impressive main camera, a crisp AMOLED display, reliable performance, and a long-lasting battery. Despite a few shortcomings such as mediocre night photography and a slightly dated front design, it stands as an attractive option in the growing competition of the budget 5G market, especially at the introductory price of 16,999 Rupees for the 6GB + 128GB variant.
