ChatGPT is reportedly being used by hackers to create malware

Unfortunately, Chat GPT's popularity isn't just confined to the general public.

ChatGPT is reportedly being used by hackers to create malware

Researchers from Check Point Research have found that hackers are using OpenAI's tool, ChatGPT, to develop malicious applications.

Examples of these applications include an information stealer, a simple Java-based malware, a malicious encryption tool, and a dark web marketplace to facilitate fraud activity.

The research agency discovered a topic titled "ChatGPT – Benefits of Malware" in a well-known underground hacker site, in which the publisher discussed his experience with ChatGPT. The publisher had created a Python-based information stealer on the platform.

It is still early to tell if this tool will become a favourite among dark web participants, but it is slowly gaining momentum and may aid both amateur and professional hackers.
