      The State Government issued a new SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) with certain modifications on Monday. The State Disaster Management Authority issues the following directives which will remain in force w.e.f 5 AM of June 22, 2021 until further notice.

      1. In case, the test reports of COVID-19 positive patients in any area reaches 5% or more in urban areas and 10% or more in rural areas in the last one week , the District Magistrate will notify such areas as containment zone.

      2. There shall be a total ban on the movement of individuals from 2 PM to 5 AM in Kamrup Metropolitan district.

      3. In South Salmara, Majuli, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and Charaideo where the positive cases are showing less than 400 cumulatively in the last 10 days, the conditions of lockdown are at relax and movement of individuals will be daily allowed from 5 AM to 5 PM .

      4. Districts where the total number of cases are persistently showing high in their numbers, especially Cachar, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur and Nagaon will be under a close watch.

      5. In case there is no improvement in the COVID-19 status in these districts,a stricter restrictions may follow.

      6. All Government and Private Employees who have taken both doses of COVID-19 vaccine needs to attend office mandatorily.

      7. Government, semi-government officers in the rank of Deputy Secretary and above and senior executives in the Non-Government sector along with their key support staff will have to attend the office for emergency and urgent works irrespective of their vaccination status.

      8. Essential emergency Services, Law Enforcement Services, and Election work will continue working without any restrictions.

      9. Pregnant women employees and women with children of 5 years or below working under any government or private organizations irrespective of their grade shall be eligible to work from home.

      10. Persons with disabilities working in any Government/PSU/ Financial Institutions/Private organizations shall be exempted from attending duties in consonance with the O.M No.11013/9/2014/Estt.(A.l ll) dated 1st April, 2020 issued by DoPT, Gol. However, they may be encouraged to work from home.

      11. All Public transport authorities shall enforce COVID-19 appropriate behavior along with seating inside the vehicles, carriers, containers, etc.

      12. Auto Rickshaws, cycle rickshaws and taxis shall operate with one driver and two passengers maintaining social distancing.

      13. Pillion riding will be totally prohibited in two wheelers, except with women and children.

      14. Wearing of face mask is mandatory even for a single person driving a vehicle. In case of several persons travelling in any private car, up to 100 % of its seating capacity, wearing a face mask is absolute mandatory for all .

      15. All Educational Institutions shall continue to provide quality virtual options. No physical classes are allowed.

      16. For marriages, the only religious parts will be allowed with the presence of a maximum of 10 (ten) persons.

      17. All Religious places shall remain closed until further notice.

      18. All inter-district transport services and movement of people to and from other districts shall remain suspended until further notice.

      19. Shop owners shall ensure minimum six feet distance among customers and shall not allow more than 5 persons inside the shop, at a time.
