WTC Final 2023: Playing for Australia is more important than IPL money - Mitchell Starc | IND vs AUS

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc has said that playing cricket for Australia is way more important for him than the IPL money.

The left-arm pacer stated that his main goal is to keep himself at the best possible level while playing for the Aussies and that not playing in the IPL hasn't really bothered him.

In an interview with The Guardian, Starc said, “I don’t regret any of it, money will come and go but I’m very grateful for the opportunities I’ve had. Over a hundred years of Test cricket and there’s been less than 500 men who have played it for Australia, that in itself makes it very special to be a part of it."

The left-arm pacer last played in the cash-rich league back in 2015 when he represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, the Aussie hasn't dismissed a return to the competition.

He added, "I'd certainly love to play in the IPL again, but my goal for a long time has been to be at my best for Australia, no matter the format."
