Rinku Singh earns captain Suryakumar Yadav's praise for composure during death overs | IND vs AUS T20I

In the first T20I against Australia, it was a run-chase and the second game, India batted first and in both games, one man played possibly the most crucial knocks.

On Sunday, Rinku Singh's fiery cameo of a 9-ball 31 powered India to the gigantic 235 score in the first innings.

Heaping praises on the left-hander, skipper Suryakumar Yadav said, 'When I saw Rinku come in to bat in the last game, the composure he showed was brilliant. It reminded me of someone. Everyone knows the answer.'

Yadav's implied statement likened Rinku to India's favourite finisher, MS Dhoni.

The Aligarh batter comes in to bat lower down the order and has been practising keep his position in mind.

'I bat in this number a lot. So, I am calm knowing this position. I know sometimes I'll get 5-6 overs (to bat) or sometimes two overs,' Rinku explained.

Earlier, after his match-winning knock on November 23, Rinku had revealed a piece of advice given to him by the former India captain.

'I once had a word with Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) and asked him what is his thinking process in the final over in a chase. He told me the key is to remain as calm as possible and try and hit the ball straight. I have been following his advice and try to remain calm. Showing no reactions. That has helped me a lot.'
