IND vs SA 3rd Test: Virat leaves birthday boy Dravid behind in his march towards a huge milestone

It may have been Rahul Dravid's birthday on Tuesday but Virat Kohli still overtook the Indian head coach in his march towards a huge milestone.

After missing the 2nd Test, a new Virat walked out in the Came Town Test and dropped anchor. He was watchful with his strokes and held one end firmly as South African bowlers sweat it out in order to get him out. Kohli soon leapfrogged Dravid to become the 2nd-highest run-scorer for India in Tests in South Africa. Dravid previously held the spot with 624 runs in the Rainbow Nation.

Kohli soon brought up a gritty half-century off 158 balls, his slowest fifty in whites. He in fact now has 3 scores of over 50 in Tests in South Africa, the most by any Indian captain. Virat was eventually out for 79 and once again missed his 71st international hundred.
