David Warner hints at retirement from Test cricket

Australia's veteran opener David Warner hinted at retirement from Test cricket in order to focus on T20 World Cup in 2024.

While talking on an Australian podcast show, Warner said that with ODI World Cup next year and T20 World Cup in 2024, it might be his last 12 months in Test cricket.

The hard-hitting Australian opener also stated that he loves playing white-ball format and will be looking to get to 2024.

With hosts Australia failing to qualify for the semifinals, there have been calls to include fresh faces in the shortest format. And it would be difficult for 36-year-old Warner to get into the 2024 T20 World Cup side given age is not on his side.

Warner has scored 2894 runs in 99 T20 Internationals at a strike rate of 141.31, including one century and 24 fifties.
