MP govt recruits 3,756 via MPPSC under CM Mohan Yadav

Under the leadership of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has successfully recommended 3,756 candidates for recruitment to various government posts, marking a significant stride in the state’s public service appointments.

MPPSC Chairman Dr. Rajesh Lal Mehra shared that these recommendations are part of the 4,492 posts advertised through 75 notifications since December 2023. The selected candidates have been forwarded to the respective departments for appointment.

In addition to the ongoing recruitments, MPPSC has released a total of 81 recruitment notifications, which will facilitate the filling of 5,562 more posts in the coming months. Of these, 61 recruitment processes are currently active, involving 5,317 posts. The Commission is closely following its Annual Examination Calendar and meeting prescribed timelines. These developments align with directives from the Madhya Pradesh Government and the High Court, which mandate results be declared for at least 87% of advertised vacancies.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the Commission's constitutional role, stating, "MPPSC, as a constitutional body, has consistently identified and selected the most qualified and talented individuals for key government roles, demonstrating its commitment to public service." He further added, "The Commission has meaningfully contributed to nation-building and has reinforced its role as a foundation for an efficient and capable state administration."

According to Commission Secretary Shri Prabal Sipaha, final results for three State Service Examinations (2019, 2021, and 2022) covering 1,109 posts and three State Forest Service Examinations for 200 posts were declared during this period. The Commission swiftly issued recommendations to the relevant departments to ensure timely appointments.

Some of the key appointments during this period include:

- 72 Deputy Collectors to the General Administration Department

- 51 Deputy Superintendents of Police to the Home Department

- 132 Assistant Directors for the School Education Department

- 22 officers in the MP Finance Service

- 19 Assistant Conservators of Forests and 181 Forest Rangers/Project Officers

- 7 Radiology Specialists to the Public Health and Medical Education Department

- 543 Ayurvedic Medical Officers and 71 AYUSH Lecturers across 17 subjects

- 727 Assistant Professors in 25 subjects under the Assistant Professor Exam 2022

MPPSC, established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India, serves as the constitutional authority for transparent and merit-based recruitment to Madhya Pradesh’s public services. The Commission’s selections are subject to rigorous verification and are forwarded to approximately 48 government departments for final appointments.

Most gazetted officers currently serving in all 55 districts and various departments of the state—excluding All India Services officers—have been selected through MPPSC at some stage in their careers.

In recent years, the Commission has made significant progress in fulfilling the state’s administrative and service requirements. The large volume of recruitments, examinations, and recommendations are expected to meet Madhya Pradesh’s manpower needs for the next several decades.
