Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a courtesy meeting with Shri Mohammed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, in Dubai on Sunday.

During the interaction, Dr. Yadav presented Madhya Pradesh’s industry-friendly environment, highlighting policies that support ease of doing business and promote investment across various sectors.

CM Dr. Yadav extended a formal invitation to Shri Yamahi to attend the upcoming Energy Summit in Madhya Pradesh. He also emphasized the state’s readiness to play a proactive role in advancing India-UAE strategic cooperation, particularly in areas such as energy, minerals, logistics, food processing, and green investment.

Congratulating Shri Yamahi on his recent appointment as President of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Yadav called it “a significant achievement to lead a democratic institution representing 22 Gulf nations” and expressed confidence in his leadership.

The meeting reflected warmth and mutual respect, with Shri Yamahi expressing keen interest in strengthening long-term ties with India, especially with Madhya Pradesh. He assured full support in facilitating investments from Arab countries and committed to advancing trade and industry collaboration with the state.

In a personal and affectionate gesture, Shri Yamahi addressed the Chief Minister as “Umm-e-Ali,” a term Dr. Yadav appreciated deeply. Shri Yamahi also invited Dr. Yadav and his family to his residence, signaling a growing bond between the two leaders. Discussions also focused on enhancing connectivity between people and products of both regions.

Introducing Madhya Pradesh as the “Heart of India,” CM Dr. Yadav described it as a state of over 80 million people, rich in forests, wildlife, and agricultural wealth. He proudly highlighted its distinction as the “Tiger Capital of the World,” with the highest number of tiger reserves in India, and the only place in Asia where cheetahs have been successfully reintroduced.

He noted that Madhya Pradesh is also home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites—Khajuraho, Sanchi, and Bhimbetka—underscoring the state’s deep cultural and historical heritage. Agriculturally robust, the state leads in the production of pulses, soybeans, and wheat.

CM Dr. Yadav reiterated Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to contributing actively to India-UAE relations and signaled interest in collaborating across a wide range of sectors. He cited the state’s leadership in food grain production, forest wealth, and clean energy, noting its vast potential in solar, wind, and hydro power.

Highlighting the state’s mineral wealth, Dr. Yadav described Madhya Pradesh as a "treasure trove" with a strong foundation for industrial growth. He expressed the state’s intent to launch pilot projects in partnership with the UAE, particularly in science, technology, and renewable energy, and mentioned its progress in coal-based methane extraction.

Dr. Yadav also spoke about the state’s rich traditions in handicrafts and artisanal crafts, expressing interest in promoting them globally.

Outlining key investment opportunities, CM Dr. Yadav invited Arab businesses to explore Madhya Pradesh’s offerings in sectors like Industrial Parks, Pharmaceuticals, Logistics, Tourism, Food Processing, and Clean Energy. He assured complete facilitation and support from the state government for potential investors.
