CM Mohan Yadav invites Rajasthan industrialists to invest in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, during his visit to Jodhpur on Wednesday, held a meeting with representatives from the furniture, timber, and hotel industries, urging them to explore investment opportunities in his state.

He highlighted Madhya Pradesh's growing industrial landscape and abundant forest resources, particularly its rich teak reserves.

“Madhya Pradesh is rich in forest resources, with teak forests that are unmatched elsewhere,” Dr. Yadav said, while proposing joint efforts between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to strengthen the furniture sector.

The Chief Minister noted that Madhya Pradesh is witnessing steady industrial growth, with fresh investments and expansion of existing units across sectors.

Focus on Industrial Policies and Health Infrastructure

Dr. Yadav informed the gathering that the state had hosted a Global Investors Summit in Bhopal earlier this year, where 18 new industrial policies were introduced. “These policies contain several incentive provisions from which entrepreneurs across the country can benefit,” he said.

Highlighting developments in healthcare infrastructure, Dr. Yadav said, “From just five medical colleges in the past, the state now has 36, and this number is expected to reach 50 in the next two years.” He added that private institutions are being encouraged to open medical colleges, with land and facilities offered at concessional rates.

Assurance of Support

Encouraging entrepreneurs to establish units in Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Yadav said, “Come to Madhya Pradesh, set up industries.” He assured full support and benefits under the state’s policies. The Chief Minister also spoke about the “Industry and Employment Year 2025” initiative and the series of conclaves and roadshows being organised to attract investment.

Rajasthan-based industrialists presented suggestions during the interaction. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary (Forests) Shri Ashok Barnwal, and other senior officials were present during the meeting.

Representatives from industrial organisations in Rajasthan extended a warm welcome to Dr. Yadav at the start of the session.
