Fast-Track immigration for Indian nationals and OCI cardholders launched at major airports

Starting Thursday, a fast-track immigration process for pre-verified Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders will be implemented at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Ahmedabad airports. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the 'Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Program' (FTI-TTP) from Ahmedabad.

Originally launched at Delhi's IGI Airport in June 2024, FTI-TTP aims to provide world-class, seamless immigration services under the 'Viksit Bharat @2047' vision. This initiative will facilitate faster, smoother, and more secure immigration clearance for Indian nationals and OCI cardholders through e-gates, minimizing human intervention.

Key Features:

Applicants must register online via https://ftittp.mha.gov.in, providing necessary details and documents.
Biometric data is captured either at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or during airport transit.
Registered travelers scan their boarding pass and passport at e-gates; successful biometric authentication automatically grants immigration clearance.
Initially free for Indian nationals and OCI cardholders, the program will expand to 21 major airports and later include foreign travelers. The FTI-TTP is akin to the U.S. Global Entry Program, offering expedited clearance for low-risk, pre-approved travelers. Registration is valid for up to five years or until passport expiry.

For assistance, travelers can contact india.ftittp-boi@mha.gov.in.
