'Taali': Sushmita Sen shares first look; to play transgender activist Shree Gauri Sawant

Sushmita Sen is all set to rule the digital space once again, after winning hearts with her performance in OTT debut ‘Aarya’. The actor took to Instagram on Thursday and shared the first look from her forthcoming new web series, ‘Taali’, in which she will play the role of a transgender activist, Shree Gauri Sawant.

Sharing the post, Sushmita wrote, ‘Taali - बजाऊँगी नहीं, बजवाऊँगी ! #firstlook as #ShreegauriSawant. Nothing makes me prouder & more grateful than to have the privilege of portraying this beautiful person & of bringing her story to the world!! Here’s to life & to everyone’s right to live it with dignity!!! I love you guys!!! #duggadugga.’

The dates for the series are not yet confirmed.

Soon after Sushmita made the announcement, her daughter Renee Sen and sister-in-law Charu Asopa commented on the post, saying they are proud of her.

Recently, the actor took to social media and announced that she’s working on a new web series. ‘Sun Set..Sen Rise!!! Life has been crazy busy…getting ready to shoot a brand new Web Series…one that has my heart!! I miss you guys & love you beyond!!! #duggadugga,’ she captioned her post.

Besides this, Sushmita Sen is also working on the third season of Ram Madhvani’s ‘Aarya’, which is scheduled to release in December this year. She is reportedly also in talks for a biopic film produced by Mini Films’ Mansi Bagla.
