Kunal Kemmu to return as Gaurav Gehlot as Netflix renews Single Papa for season 2

Actor Kunal Kemmu will return as Gaurav Gehlot after Netflix renewed its family drama Single Papa for a second season. The series, which revolves around the life of a single father and his family, received a positive response from audiences following its release.

Netflix announced the renewal on Monday through its official Instagram handle, sharing a poster of the show. “Badhai ho, season 2 hone wala hai! Watch Single Papa: Season 2, coming soon, only on Netflix,” the platform wrote.

In the series, Kemmu portrays Gaurav Gehlot, a single father navigating the challenges of parenting, family expectations and everyday life. The show connected with viewers for its straightforward storytelling and emphasis on family relationships.

Single Papa also gained attention for its depiction of adoption. India’s Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) acknowledged the series for portraying the adoption process in a responsible manner.

The cast includes Prajakta Koli, Manoj Pahwa, Ayesha Raza, Neha Dhupia, Suhail Nayyar, Dayanand Shetty, Aisha Ahmed and Isha Talwar, whose performances contributed to the show’s family-centric narrative.

Season 2 is expected to carry forward the Gehlot family’s journey, introducing new developments as Gaurav continues to adapt to his role as a father. The upcoming season will explore changes and growth within the family.

The series is created by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani and produced by Juggernaut Productions, with Shashank Khaitan serving as executive producer. Direction is handled by Shashank Khaitan, Hitesh Kewalya and Neeraj Udhwani.

Netflix has not yet announced the release date for the second season.
