SS Rajamouli announces new film 'Made In India' after resounding success of ‘RRR’

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is set to present another epic movie after the grand success of ‘RRR’ and ‘Baahubali’. He will bankroll a film on the ‘birth and rise’ of Indian cinema.

The biopic, titled 'Made In India', is produced by Rajamouli's son SS Karthikeya and Varun Gupta. It will be directed by Nitin Kakkar.

SS Rajamouli made the announcement on social media with a video. He wrote, ‘When I first heard the narration, it moved me emotionally like nothing else. Making a biopic is tough in itself, but conceiving one about the FATHER OF INDIAN CINEMA is even more challenging. Our boys are ready and up for it...With immense pride, Presenting MADE IN INDIA (sic)’

SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ won big at the held 95th Academy Awards, bagging the Best Original Song Oscar for ‘Naatu Naatu.’ The song also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.

Rajamouli is currently in the news as it is rumoured that he will do a cameo role in Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD'. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is yet to be made.

SS Rajamouli will soon start the pre-production work of his upcoming film with Mahesh Babu.
