Composer-actor Vijay Antony's daughter Meera dies by suicide

Composer-actor Vijay Antony's daughter Meera died by suicide in the early hours of September 19. She was 16 years old.

Meera was reportedly taken to a private hospital after being found hanging at her Chennai residence. The doctors, who examined her, declared her dead.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the girl was battling depression.

The police officials are currently conducting an investigation regarding the same.

Vijay and his family are yet to issue a statement.

Vijay Antony is a popular composer, predominantly working in Tamil cinema. After being a composer for several years, he also became a producer, actor, lyricist, editor, audio engineer and director.

Vijay Antony has been gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, 'Raththam'. He recently conducted a concert in Chennai, which was a huge hit.

Vijay Antony is married to Fathima Vijay Antony, who also takes care of their own production house. Vijay and Fathima are parents to two daughters, Meera and Lara.
