RRR: CBFC objects to abusive words in Telugu version

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus 'RRR' is gearing up for its release. The film features a star-studded line-up including Ram Charan, Jr. NTR., Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has ordered the removal of abusive words from the Telugu version. The word ‘Indian’ was also removed from another dialogue as it was used in a particular context to which the CBFC had objected. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film has received no such audio cuts.

Besides these cuts, the makers also voluntarily made a few cuts probably to reduce the duration of the film for a better impact, reports the news portal.

When CBFC granted the Censor certificate to 'RRR', the duration of both the versions (Telugu and Hindi) was 186 minutes and 54 seconds, that is, 3 hours, 6 minutes, and 54 seconds.

After these cuts, the final duration of RRR now stands at 3 hours, 1 minute, and 53 seconds, that is 181.53 minutes.

The period drama is slated to release in theatres on March 25.
