Rana Daggubati’s company has joined hands with Tinkle Comics for a graphic comic novel featuring a Malayalam superhero. The announcement was made at a recent Mumbai comic-con event.  


 

Rana Daggubati’s animation & VFX company joins hands with Tinkle comics for a superhero graphic novel

Rana Daggubati’s animation and VFX company, Spirit Company has collaborated with Tinkle Comics for the launch of a graphic novel. The comic novel will feature Malayalam superhero Minnal Murali. The announcement was made at a recent Mumbai comic-con event.

Rana Daggubati announces graphic novel

After delving into films, TV shows, and comic book projects at the San Diego Comic-Con last year, Rana Daggubati’s company has decided to collaborate with Tinkle for a comic novel. Tinkle comics is known for its iconic characters like Suppandi and Shikari Shambhu. This will be the very first graphic novel format for the Tinkle comics.

Sharing the excitement abou the project, Rana Daggubati said, ““The debut of Tinkle’s graphic novel ‘Minnal Murali’ at Mumbai Comic-Con marks a significant milestone for reaffirming the love for Indian superheroes and comics, furthermore, resonating with the unmet need of Indian comic lovers in the digital age. It is a moment of great pride and excitement to continue the universe of this much-loved contemporary Indian superhero and bring him to life from the screen to a comic.”

More details of the graphic novel

According to a report of Variety, the novel will follow the origin of superhero Minnal Murali and his adventures. A Malayalam film based on the popular superhero was released in 2021. In the film, Jaison, a tailor gains superhero powers after being struck by lightning.

Meanwhile, on the acting front, the actor Rana Daggubati will soon be seen in ‘Vettaiyan’, which features Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh in key roles.
