‘Pushpa 2’: Rashmika Mandanna reveals forthcoming film will be bigger; says 'the story has no end...'

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is undeniably one of the most anticipated films. As fans eagerly await the release of the action drama, Rashmika has stated that the movie will be ‘bigger’ than its predecessor.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Rashmika disclosed that she has completed filming a song for ‘Pushpa 2’ and emphasized the collective effort within the team to replicate the success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’

‘I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that. I just shot for a song for Pushpa 2 and I was just like, ‘How are you guys thinking about this?’ Everyone is so driven to make a good film. All of us have gone all out and are enjoying the process. It’s a story that has no end, you can lead it any which way. It is fun,’ she said.

Released in 2021, ‘Pushpa: The Rise,’ helmed by Sukumar, emerged as a box-office sensation. Naturally, the team may have felt the weight of expectations leading up to the sequel's release. However, when Rashmika was questioned about this, she asserted that there is no pressure. She mentioned that watching the first film motivates her to do even better in ‘Pushpa 2.’

Rashmika expressed excitement about her more well-thought-out and improved character in the sequel, citing her growth as an actor over the past two years as a source of confidence.

Filming for ‘Pushpa 2’ is presently in progress.

In November 2023, production was briefly paused due to Allu Arjun's health concerns but resumed afterward. Last year, Allu Arjun unveiled his first-look poster for ‘Pushpa 2,’ featuring him adorned in a saree with a distinctive blue and red face paint. Subsequently, poster featuring Fahadh Faasil was also unveiled, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the reveal of Rashmika Mandanna's character.
