SRK's 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan' to vie with 'Mission Impossible', 'John Wick 4' in International Stunt Awards

Shah Rukh Khan's blockbusters, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, have received numerous nominations for an upcoming stunt awards event. These 2023 releases will go head-to-head with formidable contenders like Keanu Reeves' ‘John Wick 4’ and Tom Cruise's ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’, also known as Mission Impossible 7, at Vulture's second Annual Stunt Awards.

Both ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’ have secured nominations in the prestigious Best Overall Action Film category.

Additionally, ‘Jawan’ has been recognized with nominations in the categories of Best Stunt in an Action Film and Best Vehicular Stunt for its thrilling 'highway chase' sequence. On the other hand, ‘Pathaan’ has earned a nomination for its impressive 'jetpack fight' sequence in the Best Aerial Stunt category.

After a string of less successful films like ‘Zero’ and ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, Shah Rukh Khan marked a triumphant return in 2023 with Siddharth Anand's ‘Pathaan’, a spy thriller that shattered box office records, establishing Shah Rukh as an action star.

Co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, ‘Pathaan’ was released around Republic Day in 2023 and amassed a worldwide gross of ₹1055 crore, according to Sacnilk.com.
