'Ponniyin Selvan 2' crosses Rs 150 crore in just three days; makes $ 3.6 million in US

‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is receiving an excellent response from the audience and the film has now surpassed Rs 150 crore worldwide. Industry tracker Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to share the box office numbers.

He tweeted, ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ has crossed 150 Crs gross at the WW Box office in 3 days.’ The second part of the Mani Ratnam directorial carries so many expectations because ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ did a business of Rs 500 crore.

‘PS 2’ is receiving an amazing response in North America as well. The film earned $3 million or Rs 24 crore there in just three days.

The film stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi, among others.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ was originally meant to be a single film, it was split into two parts and then produced simultaneously.

The film is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novels of the same name.
