Aishwarya Rajinikanth's domestic staff arrested for stealing gold, silver jewellery from her Chennai home

The domestic help and driver of superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth have been arrested for stealing jewellery from her Chennai home. She had filed a police complaint stating gold and diamond jewellery worth ₹3.60 lakh was missing from her locker at home on Monday.

News agency PTI reported that around 100 sovereigns of gold jewellery, 30 grams of diamond jewellery and four kilograms of silver articles were stolen from the filmmaker’s home. The police also said that the maid sold the jewellery to buy a house and some other articles.

According to reports, the maid had been working at Aishwarya’s home for 18 years and was aware of the ins and outs of her household. The articles have been stolen over a period of several days. The stolen articles and property purchase documents were recovered from the maid’s home.

The FIR stated that the filmmaker had last worn her jewelry to her younger sister Soundarya’s wedding in 2019 and since then it was kept in locker which was moved from her ex-husband Dhanush’s apartment to her father Rajinikanth’s place.

Aishwarya and Dhanush parted ways in January 2022. They have two children, sons Yatra and Linga. She is currently occupied with the shoot of ‘Lal Salaam.’ The film is said to have an extended cameo by her father Rajinikanth.
