‘Pushpa 2’: Sanjay Dutt to have a cameo in Allu Arjun starrer? Here’s what we know

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, starring Allu Arjun, is one of the most awaited films. If reports are to be believed, the makers are now planning to cast a big Bollywood star in the forthcoming action drama.

A report by Siasat states that Sanjay Dutt is likely to play a cameo role in the Sukumar directorial. The actor will reportedly portray an ‘influential figure’ and will add ‘an extra layer to any storyline.’

This news comes months after a report by ETimes claimed ‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar has decided to include ‘one major Bollywood A-lister’ for the film.

Earlier, reports surfaced online stating that Manoj Bajpayee is being approached for ‘Pushpa 2’. But when News18 Showsha reached out to the actor, he denied the reports and called them ‘false’.

‘No truth! False news! That’s all I can say!’, he said.

About ‘Pushpa: The Rise’

Released in 2021, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was written and directed by Sukumar, emerging as a blockbuster hit that dominated the box office.

Currently, the final phase of shooting for ‘Pushpa 2’ is in progress. However, in November 2023, production was temporarily halted for a couple of weeks due to health issues faced by Allu Arjun, the lead actor. Fortunately, filming resumed after the setback.

Last year, Allu Arjun unveiled his first-look poster for ‘Pushpa 2,’ featuring him adorned in a saree with his face painted in vibrant hues of blue and red. Subsequently, a poster of Fahadh Faasil from the movie was also unveiled. Fans eagerly await the reveal of Rashmika Mandanna’s look poster.

Rashmika Mandanna recently teased the upcoming film, expressing that ‘Pushpa 2’ will surpass expectations. Rashmika described the filming experience, particularly highlighting the dedication of the team in delivering a remarkable sequel. She expressed excitement about the creative freedom and endless possibilities of the storyline.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is scheduled to be released in theatres on August 15, 2024.
