Shah Rukh Khan's cameo in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'? Karan Johar confirms '3 surprise cameos'

The trailer of Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Ranii Ki Prem Kahaani' was released on July 4. Later in the day, the filmmaker went live on Instagram to interact with his fans about his forthcoming film.

Fans were curious to know if there are any cameos in the movie.

When asked about Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar replied that he's not in the film but his blessings are always with him.

Karan said SRK is family to him and he was the first person to put out the first unit of 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'.

He added that there are '3 surprise cameos'.

Hawk-eyed netizens have already spotted Ananya Panday in a dance number.

Karan Johar was also asked if he has a surprise cameo in the film. He said, 'Fortunately, for all of you, I am not in the film. My success as an actor has been pretty much zero.'

When asked about the inspiration behind the characters of Rocky and Rani, Karan said they were both inspired by real-life people.

'Rocky is definitely inspired by somebody who I can’t reveal right now. Rani is like many people I have met. In fact, a member of the media that I knew very well and dressed a lot like the way Rani does,' he said.

'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' stars Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh and Dharmendra. The film releases worldwide on July 28.
