Watch: Park Bo Gum makes surprise guest appearance at IU’s concert finale in Seoul

Fans could not believe their luck, especially those who were in attendance of IU’s ‘H.E.R world tour concert’ finale in Seoul. Not only did they watch their favourite soloist perform her hits, but they were also rewarded with a surprise guest performer.

The final performance of IU’s concert in Seoul witnessed a special appearance by her co-star from ‘When life gives you tangerines’, Park Bo Gum. An excited IU addressed her fans before introducing her special guest for the evening. She said, “I’ve brought a reliable and cool friend. He’s not a singer, but he sings as well as one. And, even if you see him on screen and think he’s incredibly handsome, seeing him in person will make you rub your eyes in disbelief.”

The surprise guest, none other than the K-drama superstar Park Bo Gum, then walked on to the stage and greeted the fans. “Hello to all Uaenas; it’s genuinely nice to meet you,” he said. IU and Park Bo Gum then performed a rendition of ‘Not spring, love or cherry blossoms’. The actor concluded his performance with the song ‘Let’s go see the stars’. He expressed gratitude and said, “Wishing you all shiny and bright days. Thank you. This was Park Bo Gum, a friend of the singer IU.”

IU and Park Bo Gum’s upcoming project

Singer-actor IU and Park Bo Gum will soon be seen together in Netflix’s k-drama ‘When life gives you tangerines’. Set in Jeju, the title of the show is word play in the Jeju dialect, which means “thank you for your hard work”. The show will premiere later this year.
