Oscar nominated Robert De Niro says he would never play Donald Trump on screen

Robert De Niro, who has played all kind of villains, would never play one character in his life. Having played gangster, murderer, psychopaths and several other characters in his cinematic journey, Trump is the only person, the actor said he would never play on screen. Reasoning his decision, the veteran actor argued that there is nothing redeemable in him.

Robert De Niro on Donald Trump

For the unversed, Robert De Niro has been a vocal opponent of the former U.S President and have even called him ‘a total monster’. In an appearance on the Real Time with Bill Maher show, the actor reiterated his stand on Trump. He said that he will never play Donald Trump on screen. “He’s such a mean, nasty, hateful person. I’d never play him as an actor because I can’t see any good in him. Nothing. Nothing at all. Nothing redeemable in him,” he said.

Urging the U.S voters to not vote for the Republican Presidential candiate, De Niro said, “We want to live in a world that we want to live in and enjoy living in, or live in a nightmare. Vote for Trump and you’ll get the nightmare, vote for Biden and we’ll be back to normalcy.”

While De Niro has frequently criticised and called out the former President, Donald Trump also responded to the actor. Trump attacked the Hollywood actor by calling him ‘a total loser’ whose acting talents have diminished.
