‘Kaavaalaa’ craze reaches South Korea: K-Pop artists dance to song’s mashup with ‘Oo Antava’

A group of South Korean artists grooved to a remix of ‘Oo Antava’ and ‘Kaavaala’ and left the netizens impressed.

K-pop idol Aoora shared a video on his Instagram page which shows him dancing with the members of the K-pop boy band Bz-Boys.

The artists, dressed in chic casualwear, are seen enthusiastically grooving to the mashup.

‘Oo Antava’ is a song from the 2021 film ‘Pushpa’ starring Allu Arjun and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. ‘Kaavaalaa’ is from Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’. It is picturised on Tamannaah Bhatia. This particular mashup of the two songs that the Korean artists performed on is created by a band that goes by @thisisfridayyy on Instagram.

The video, which was posted on August 9, has accumulated close to 5.8 lakh views so far and more than 96,000 likes.

‘I am feeling proud that Koreans are dancing to Indian songs, thanks for giving love to India and Indian songs,’ commented an Instagram user. ‘Fire dance,’ wrote another. ‘I saw it more than 100 times, it's so nice,’ wrote a user.

Earlier, the Ambassador of Japan to India also displayed his love for superstar Rajinikanth. Hiroshi Suzuki collaborated with popular Japanese Youtuber Mayo San and successfully recreated the dance steps of the trending song ‘Kaalava’.
