Actor-singer Suki Waterhouse welcomed her first child with boyfriend Robert Pattinson in March 2024. Suki, who prefers keeping her private life under wraps, recently posed with her newborn on the cover of British Vogue’s August 2024 issue. She also opened up about various aspects of her life with Pattinson, giving insight into the motherhood journey.

The latest cover of Vogue shows Suki standing in a verdant garden and holding her infant daughter to her bosom. The baby's back was to the camera, so her face was hidden. "What an honour to be on the cover of @BritishVogue with the most perfect girl in the world (red heart emoticons) its soooo a summer of the biggest and best love!!" she wrote in the caption after sharing the photo on her X handle.

Suki on her first meeting with Robert

During the cover interview, Suki Waterhouse opened up about her meet-cute moment with Robert Pattinson. She said, “I was sure that I’d met him a long time ago, but he didn’t think that we had… It was very, very intense. There were lots of ‘big’ characters, real heavy hitters. Al Pacino was there. Javier [Bardem] and Penelope [Cruz] were there… and, you know, everyone was acting. I think we both sort of have the same slight uncomfortableness and started giggling at the absurdity of the whole thing. [We] got told off. There was a director that separated us because we were laughing too much.”

Pregnancy was not a shock: Suki

Talking about her pregnancy Suki then added that the news of her pregnancy was not a shock to them. “No, we really planned it. One day we looked at each other and said, ‘Well, this is as ready as we’re going to be.’ I was like, ‘What can make more chaos?’” she said. The 'Nostalgia' had announced her pregnancy during her performance at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico.

Waterhouse on transitioning to motherhood

She also discussed her transition to motherhood, reminiscing the final stage of her pregnancy when she set up a makeshift recording studio in her Los Angeles home. She recalled how she and Pattinson were in full nesting mode, transforming their home for the arrival of their baby. She humorously noted Pattinson's efforts, saying he was doing things that he had never before, like shopping on a random Saturday.
