‘Reservoir Dogs’ actor Michael Madsen arrested on charges of domestic violence

US actor Michael Madsen was arrested on a domestic battery charge after a dispute with his wife.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported receiving a call shortly after midnight on August 17 from a woman who claimed her husband pushed her and locked her out of their home. The woman was later identified as Madsen’s wife, DeAnna Madsen.

‘The investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to the Van Nuys Superior Court House for filing,’ the sheriff's department said.

The 66-year-old actor, known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino films like Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight, Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood, and Kill Bill, was arrested in Malibu, California on a misdemeanor charge. Madsen was later released from custody on a $20,000 bond.

A representative for Madsen stated, ‘It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both.’

A conviction for a domestic battery misdemeanor could result in penalties ranging from jail time to a protective stay-away order.

Michael Madsen and DeAnna Madsen have been married for 28 years.
