Rachel Zoe, Rodger Berman Announce Divorce After 26 Years Of Marriage; Seek Privacy

Rachel Zoe is embarking on a new project separate from Rodger Berman.

The fashion designer and her longtime husband, who have two sons, Skyler and Kaius, announced their split in a statement posted on social media on September 9.

‘After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage,’ Rachel wrote.

‘We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together. Our number one priority has been and will always be our children,’ she continued.

Despite their separation, Rachel Zoe stated that she and Rodger Berman are ‘committed to co-parenting our boys and continuing to work together on the many businesses we share.’

In the statement, signed ‘with love and gratitude’ from both, the ‘Style A to Zoe’ author added, ‘We ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.’

More about the couple

Rachel Zoe first met Rodger Berman in 1991 while they were both students at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. They married seven years later.

Their relationship and professional collaboration were prominently featured on Rachel's Bravo series ‘The Rachel Zoe Project’, which focused on her career as a celebrity stylist, alongside Brad Goreski and Jeremiah Brent.

After the show concluded its five-season run in 2013, Rachel shifted her focus to expanding her fashion empire, including her clothing line and ‘The Zoe Report’, with support from Berman, who is now co-CEO of Rachel Zoe Inc.

In a 2021 joint interview with People, Rachel explained their approach to marriage: ‘The idea is to be dependent but also independent; you have your shared life and your individual life. This approach reduces pressure on each other because if you rely solely on the other for happiness and purpose, it’s unlikely to work.’

Rodger added, ‘The best relationships are those where you genuinely support the other person and help them achieve their goals. Ultimately, your happiness comes from seeing the other person happy.’
