Kanye West's Yeezy is shutting down amid financial troubles? Rapper's website no longer accepting orders

Amid rumours that Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori are having money troubles, a new report has suggested that the pop star is shutting down the Yeezy website. The update comes after the online portal posted an announcement on Wednesday, July 3, warning shoppers that the site is “no longer accepting online purchases.” Additionally, the yeezy.com homepage is now essentially blank, providing visitors with just the date and time. Previously, Adidas severed ties with the rapper in October 2022 and has struggled to recoup its losses.

Yeezy.com is shutting down?

Troubles continue to mount for Kanye West and Bianca Censori. In the fresh set of setbacks for the couple, it has now been reported that Kanye's e-commerce website, yeezy.com, is shutting down. The rapper is no longer accepting orders on his popular e-commerce website, yeezy.com, just months after slashing prices on all items to $20 from $200.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Kanye revealed the reason behind the major drop in the prices. “Gap didn't take it to $20 the way I wanted to because they were still trying to protect the classism of the idea of Balenciaga and the idea of Gap," he said.

Yews News also closes the shop

In May, yeezy.com withdrew the links to the news website, Yews News, which featured a combination of news pieces from modern media sources and original content.

Kanye launched the website in December. He had filed multiple trademarks for 'Yews,' encompassing various projects and items in education, advertising, banking services, music streaming, television, beauty care, food and drink, games, clothing, footwear, cookware, alcoholic beverages, and more.

West dropped by his lawyer

In other updates related to the 'Donda' hitmaker, his lawyer, Brian Brumfield, filed a motion to be released from his duties as the artist's representative over non-payment of dues. "Defendant, Kanye West, terminated the relationship on 6/21/2024. Defendant also will not speak to counsel and Defendant refuses to pay counsel as well," Brumfield's motion reads.
