Singer-actor Jennifer Lopez hosted a Bridgerton-themed party in the Hamptons on July 20 ahead of her 55th birthday on July 24. Numerous guests arrived in royal-esque attire, including Lopez's mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, who wore a blue gown with white lace detailing.

The celebrity guest list included Sarah Jessica Parker and Lucy Paez, who co-starred with Lopez in Netflix's ‘The Mother’.

Despite several other family members attending the lavish event, Lopez's husband was absent, a source told People. Affleck was recently seen driving solo in Los Angeles with his wedding ring on full display. The couple, who married in 2022, are reportedly spending time apart amid recent marital issues.

Lopez's celebration took place as she continues to spend her summer in the Hamptons, where she's been snapping selfies, spending time with Ben Affleck's 18-year-old daughter Violet, and enjoying some shopping.

Ahead of her party, Lopez shared a cheerful post with a positive message on Instagram. Alongside three selfies, the ‘This Is Me... Now’ musician wrote that it was ‘gonna be a great day’ and wished her followers a ‘happy Saturday.’

Last year, Lopez gave fans a ‘lil peek’ into a birthday party she and Affleck held at their home ‘with our closest family and friends.’ She expressed gratitude for being where she is in her life journey, surrounded by beautiful, caring people.

Lopez later posted a photo on Instagram of herself dancing on a table during the celebration, writing, ‘Birthday mood … all month.’

Amid their extended time apart, rumors about Affleck having issues with Lopez's fame have circulated in the mainstream media. However, a source recently denied these claims, stating there have been ‘deeper issues’ between them.

‘The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and that he didn’t know what he was getting into with the attention on their marriage isn’t true,’ a source told People.
