Here's how Taylor Swift's team responded to claims of her dad assaulting a photographer in Sydney

Singer Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, faces accusations of assaulting a photographer on Sydney's North Shore on February 27. The pop singer's team has now addressed the incident, attributing it to the paparazzi's 'aggressive' behavior towards the star.

The Mirror shared a spokesperson’s statement saying, “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”

Scott Swift, 71 was accused of striking Ben McDonald's face on a Sydney wharf. North Shore Police Area Command officers gave their confirmation on the incident. They said they were investigating an “alleged assault after a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf” around 2.30 am local time. “The younger man reported the incident and inquiries are now underway by officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command. The man did not require medical treatment,” the statement read.

Australia's Sky News, Scott was one of the people involved in the fight. The photographer was identified as Ben McDonald, the chief executive of Matrix Media Group. It was reported that he had been taking photos of Swift when she and Scott got off a yacht at the Neutral Bay.

Swift’s Eras Tour will end at Sydney's Accor Stadium this week.

Scott Swift has been actively involved in his daughter’s Australian tour. Taylor wrapped up her Eras Tour show at Sydney's Accor Stadium Monday night. "We have had the most wonderful time. I've got to tell you that," the Grammy winner shared onstage.
Swift also performed at Melbourne where she played a string of three shows. “96,000 people the first night, 96,000 people the second night, 96,000 people tonight. All of that, those are all the biggest shows I’ve ever played on a tour and you did it three times," Swift wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Taylor will be back onstage March 2 in Singapore, where she will perform for six hours.
