'Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Return to Hogwarts': trailer shows emotional reunion

The trailer of HBO Max's much-anticipated show, 'Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts' is out and it was an emotional reunion for Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, as the three stars gathered to reunite and reminisce about the movie franchise.

The pre-recorded documentary, will be released on New Year's Day, January 1, 2022. The reunion will reunite the actors and filmmakers from the eight films.

In the trailer, the main trio descend upon the Warner Bros Studio Tour London, to revisit the original sets and look back on their time making the films, two decades on from when the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was released.

“When things get really dark and times are really hard, there’s something about Harry Potter that makes life richer,” says Emma Watson in the first trailer.

“There’s a strong bond that we’ll always have,” Grint says to Watson, holding her hand as she wipes away a tear. “We’re family.”

Helena Bonham Carter (who played Bellatrix Lestrange) recalls the scene in which Watson's Hermione Granger uses Polyjuice Potion to transform herself into Bellatrix and sneak into the latter's vault at Gringotts Wizarding Bank.

The new promo also sees Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) join Grint, Watson and Radcliffe on their trip down memory lane.

Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), James Phelps (Fred Weasley), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge) and director Chris Columbus will feature, too.
