Harry Potter Reunion first look: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson & Rupert Grint never left Hogwarts!

Potterheads are crying tears of joy, because come what may, 2022 will begin on a high note for Harry Potter fans.

HBO Max has shared the first look of the Harry Potter Reunion special, and fans are looking to dunk into a Potter-filled extravaganza as the new year kicks off.

The three main stars of the films - Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. The three actors are seen sitting in what seems to be the Gryffindor common room.

HBO captioned the image," Like they never left."

HBO Max has also released a teaser for the highly anticipated Harry Potter reunion special. It begins with a visual of the Hogwarts clock tower followed by a shot of the Daily Prophet, which had the headline, ‘Hogwarts Welcomes Back Alumni’.

In the teaser, different cast members, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), receiving their invitations.

Emma Watson is featured in the final shot of the promo, walking down platform 9 ¾, with the Hogwarts Express waiting.

Apart from Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, the reunion episode will also feature other cast members like Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis and Evanna Lynch.

However, author JK Rowling, the creator of the Potter universe will not be featuring in the reunion after the author’s stance on trans rights were criticised heavily.

'Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts' that will air on January 1, 2022 and the special will reveal a lot of details on what went on behind making of the films, along with detailed interviews and conversations between former co-stars.
