‘Deadpool’ actor T.J. Miller will never work with Ryan Reynolds again; here’s why

Actor-comedian T.J. Miller, who played Wade Wilson's best friend Weasel in ‘Deadpool’ 1 and 2, has revealed that he has no plans of working with Ryan Reynolds again or returning for ‘Deadpool 3’. During an appearance on The Adam Carolla Show, Miller talked about his working experience with Ryan and said that he thinks his former co-star hates him.

Miller mentioned how Deadpool being ‘horrifically mean’ to Weasel defined the real life bond between Ryan Reynolds and himself. ‘As the character, he was, like, horrifically mean to me. But to me. As if I'm Weasel. He was like, 'You know what's great about you, Weasel? You're not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it's funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie,' he said.

Miller said Reynolds’ alleged jab in front of ‘Deadpool's cast and crew took him by surprise. He recounted how he ‘listened and thought it was weird.’ He further said that the crew too appeared uncomfortable after the scene.

Miller said post that moment he decided not to work with Reynolds again.

‘I sorta wish him well because he's so good at Deadpool, and I think it's weird that he hates me,’ he said.

T.J. Miller has stirred many controversies in the past. In 2017, a woman accused him of sexual assault, an allegation he refuted.

He was then accused of bullying a co-actor on the set of HBO series ‘Silicon Valley’. Miller denied the charges, but he was written off the show.

In 2018, he allegedly made a fake bomb threat while on board an Amtrak train and was arrested. However, citing to Miller's past brain surgery, the federal charges against him were dropped.

‘Deadpool 3’, which is all set to release on September 6, 2024, will also mark Hugh Jackman's return as Wolverine.
