Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine for ‘Deadpool 3’, confirms Ryan Reynolds in a hilarious video

Great news for Marvel fans. Actor Hugh Jackman is all set to reprise his role as Wolverine in the third film of the ‘Deadpool’ franchise. Ryan Reynolds made the announcement via a video shared on his social media platforms. The actor revealed that ‘Deadpool 3’ will release in theatres in 2024.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Ryan said that he was extremely sad to have missed Disney D23 Expo that happened earlier this month, and stated that they’ve been working very hard on the next Deadpool film.

Talking about the upcoming film, Ryan Reynolds said, ‘I have had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character and find new depth, motivation, and meaning. Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It's been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside. And I…I have nothing. Yeah, just completely empty up here. And terrifying. But we did have one idea.’

Later, we see Hugh Jackman walking in the background and Ryan asks, ‘Hey, Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?’ To this, he replies, ‘Yeah, sure, Ryan.’

Post Ryan Reynolds announcement, fans are super excited to see their favourite characters on screen.

‘Deadpool 3’, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, is slated to hit the theatres in September 2024.
