Angelina Jolie intends to exit Hollywood after her divorce from Brad Pitt; says ‘lost ability to live...'

Angelina Jolie recently made a surprising revelation regarding her future in Hollywood and Los Angeles. The actor, formerly married to Brad Pitt, disclosed her intentions to depart from LA.

In a rare interview, Angelina expressed a desire to potentially relocate to Cambodia when the timing aligns. She cited her divorce from Brad and the accompanying legal processes as one of the reasons prompting her consideration of leaving LA.

Speaking with The Wall Street Journal, Angelina Jolie shared, ‘I wouldn’t be an actress today. When I was starting out, it wasn’t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much. Because I grew up around Hollywood, I was never very impressed with it. I never bought into it as significant or important.’

Opening up about leaving LA, Angelina said, ‘It’s part of what happened after my divorce. I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. I will move when I can. I grew up in quite a shallow place. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you seek authenticity.’

Confirming that she is not dating anyone right now, Angelina said her ‘closest friends are refugees.’ She also added that her kids are her friends.

‘They are the closest people to me and my life, and they’re my close friends. We’re seven very different people, which is our strength,’ she said.

Angelina Jolie shares six children with Brad Pitt — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. She confessed that the divorce took a toll on all of them.

‘We had to heal. There are things we needed to heal from,’ she said.

The divorce proceedings between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt began after an alleged intense incident on a flight in 2016.

Jolie's legal documentation in 2022 alleged that Brad exhibited ‘verbal abuse,’ ‘physical’ behavior, and attempted to 'choke' one of their children.

The documents also mentioned instances where Brad poured beer on Jolie and both beer and red wine on the children.

Following their separation in 2016, Angelina has had custody of their children. There have been no public sightings of Brad with the children since the reported altercation.
