Disney+ Hotstar's live stream of Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres" concert in Ahmedabad captivated audiences, amassing 83 lakh views and 16.5 crore minutes of watch time.

Disney+ Hotstar announced that the live streaming of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres concert in Ahmedabad received 83 lakh views and accumulated an impressive 16.5 crore minutes of watch time.

Viewers from across India tuned in, with regions including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, NCR Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal accounting for 85% of the viewership.

“This response further strengthens the platform’s commitment to democratizing premium entertainment for audiences nationwide at an unparalleled scale,” Disney+ Hotstar stated.

To promote the live event, Disney+ Hotstar launched an integrated marketing campaign targeting Coldplay fans and new users, inviting them to be part of the live experience.

The platform provided interactive features, such as Coldplay lyrics integration, which allowed fans to engage with the concert in real-time. Influencers also rallied their followers and hosted watch parties to amplify the event’s reach.

Strategic campaign integrations and impactful placements were executed across platforms like BookMyShow, Swiggy, Spotify, and YouTube.

Disney+ Hotstar partnered with brands including Jameson Ginger Ale (Co-Powered By Sponsor), Cisco (Livestream Event Partner), and Courtyard by Marriott (Livestream Associate Sponsor) to enhance the concert experience for subscribers.

As part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour, Coldplay held three shows at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21. The band’s final performances in India took place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26.
