Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar welcome a baby boy, reveal his name

Actor Yami Gautam and her husband, filmmaker Aditya Dhar welcomed a baby boy named Vedavid. On May 20, Aditya shared a heartwarming note announcing the joyful news.

He wrote, ‘We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the exceptionally dedicated and wonderful medical professionals at Surya Hospital, especially Dr. Bhupender Awasthi and Dr. Ranjana Dhanu, whose expertise and tireless efforts made this joyous occasion possible.’

‘As we embark on this beautiful journey of parenthood, we eagerly anticipate the bright future that awaits our son. With every milestone he achieves, we are filled with the hope and belief that he will grow to become a beacon of pride for our entire family as well as our beloved nation,’ he added.

Fans, many celebrities and friends from the industry congratulated the couple.

Ayushmann Khurana, Mrunal Thakur and Neha Dhupia were among those who extended their best wishes to the couple.

Yami remained very active during her pregnancy, even shooting for Article 370 in her first trimester. She debuted her baby bump at the trailer launch of Article 370 earlier this year, accompanied by her husband and director, Aditya Dhar.

Yami Gautam married Aditya Dhar on June 4, 2021, in a simple ceremony in their home state of Himachal Pradesh. Yami had previously worked with Aditya in his directorial venture, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’.
