Times when Satish Kaushik was Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor's biggest cheerleader and truest friend

Veteran actor Satish Kaushik died after suffering a heart attack in New Delhi. The news of his death was shared by his best friend, actor Anupam Kher on social media on March 9. Anupam, Satish, and Anil Kapoor were among the most popular friend trio in Bollywood, who laughed together and supported each other.

On Anupam Kher’s birthday, Satish had penned a sweet note for his friend. He had written, ‘KSaab u must be learning swimming in water now but u hv been a gold medalist swimmer in life. With ur ace technique of front stroke,backstroke,diving ,floating has swam thru life with dignity,power ,elan & kept getting younger & younger. wishing u a Happy Birthday.’
Anupam was touched by his praise. He replied, ‘Thank you my dearest @satishkaushik2 for your warm and loving wishes on my birthday! You are really very generous with your praise as a true friend should be. But you also keep me grounded. Love.’

In February, Anil and Anupam attended the Zee Cine Awards. The latter had shared a video on social media in which he was seen hugging Anil and engaging in a conversation with him. Sharing the video, Anupam wrote, ‘Agar dono Mumbai mein ho to main aur @anilskapoor din mein kam se kam do baar to milte hi hain. Par yahaan aise mil rahen hai jaise ek saal se nahin mile. Shaayad isi ko kahte hai dosti!! (red heart emojis) (If both are in Mumbai then I and Anil Kapoor meet at least twice a day. But here we are meeting like we haven't met for a year. Perhaps this is called friendship)!!’

He also added, ‘Chetaavni: Humaare teesre dost Shri @satishkaushik2178 ko yeh video shartiya achha nahin lagega (Warning: Our third friend Mr @satishkaushik2178 will not like this video)!’
Later, Satish dedicated posts in their honour, celebrating their wins. As Anil and Anupam meet often, Satish even teased Anupam for meeting him less frequently.

Satish Kaushik also cheered for his friends ahead of the release of Anupam’s film ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’ and Anil’s show ‘The Night Manager’.

In 2020, on Friendship’s Day, Satish shared an image with Anil and Anupam, captioned, ‘We might be looking in different directions but we walk in one direction together and that direction is the path of Friendship . Happy Friendship Day Kapoorsaab & Khersaab . Thx for being biggest treasure of my life @AnilKapoor @AnupamPKher’

The same year, Anupam Kher had penned an emotional note for Anil Kapoor and Satish Kaushik for making his life very easy during the difficult times of novel coronavirus pandemic. He had referred to them as friends who became family. He wrote, ‘There are friends! There is family. And then there are friends that become family.” As I finally prepare to travel back to New York I will miss my friends desperately. They made the period of 8 months of #Lockdown easy and memorable. Thank you @anilskapoor and @satishkaushik2178 for your love, warmth, care and even for our random stupid conversations. You made life very easy during these difficult times.
