<p>Actor Esha Deol said her late father and Hindi cinema legend Dharmendra captivated audiences across the globe after he was honoured in a memorial segment at the 79th edition of the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA).</p>
<p>The BAFTA Awards ceremony was held on Sunday in London, which included late Dharmendra as the sole Indian representative in its tribute to the cinematic greats lost over the past year. His image appeared on screen alongside French actress-singer Brigitte Bardot and German actor Udo Kier.</p>
<p>Global legends like Robert Duvall, Catherine O&rsquo;Hara, Val Kilmer, Rob Reiner and Tom Stoppard, among others, were also remembered at BAFTA for their contribution to cinema.</p>
<p>Dharmendra died on November 24 last year at the age of 89 at his residence in Mumbai due to prolonged illness.</p>
<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s my papa, his magic, a pure heart, the purest soul who touched millions of hearts across continents...not just as an actor but as a humble human being,&rdquo; Esha told PTI.</p>
<p>Dharmendra&rsquo;s career spanned across six decades and over 300 films. Affectionately dubbed the &lsquo;He-Man&rsquo; of Indian cinema for his rugged physique and striking looks, he was a rare actor who mastered every genre, from romance to action, comedy, and drama, establishing himself as a versatile performer.</p>
<p>Some of his most iconic films include &ldquo;Satyakam&rdquo;, &ldquo;Baharein Phir Bhi Aayengi&rdquo;, &ldquo;Sholay&rdquo;, &ldquo;Chupke Chupke&rdquo;, &ldquo;Charas&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani&rdquo;, and others.</p>
<p>His final big screen appearance was in filmmaker Sriram Raghavan&rsquo;s movie, &ldquo;Ikkis&rdquo;, which released in January.</p>
<p>In the past, actors like Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, and Dilip Kumar and playback singer Lata Mangeshkar were also honoured at BAFTA.</p>
<p>The evening was also a triumph for Manipuri coming-of-age comedy-drama &ldquo;Boong&rdquo;. His counsel submitted that he was &ldquo;arguing that his sincere praise for Rishab Shetty&rsquo;s performance and the film&rsquo;s characterisation has been unfairly given a criminal color.&rdquo;</p>
<p>The defence further stated that the actor has been under pressure regarding the matter, pointing out that police have already issued two official notices. &ldquo;The defense emphasised that the actor is facing undue pressure, noting that the police have already issued two notices in connection with the statement.&rdquo;</p>
<p>During the hearing, Singh&rsquo;s lawyers sought an urgent listing of the petition and requested a same-day hearing, citing the stress caused by the ongoing proceedings. However, the High Court rejected the plea for urgency. Justice Nagaprasanna questioned the basis for expediting the matter and raised concerns about granting preferential treatment.</p>
<p>Justice Nagaprasanna observed whether investigations should be fast-tracked simply because the petitioner is a prominent Bollywood actor or whether similar urgency would be expected even for a Hollywood actor. The observation underscored the principle of equal treatment before the law.</p>
<p>Despite repeated submissions from the defence, the court declined to grant an urgent hearing and proceeded with its regular schedule. The petition has been listed for hearing tomorrow under the standard judicial timeline.</p>
<p>The case continues to draw attention from legal observers and the public, with the court&rsquo;s upcoming hearing being closely watched.</p>
<p><strong>Background to the Controversy</strong></p>
<p>The dispute arose after Ranveer Singh reenacted a Daiva scene from the climax of Kantara: Chapter 1 during the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025 in Goa. While praising Rishab Shetty and recalling the film&rsquo;s impact, Singh referred to the Chamundi Daiva sequence as a highlight.</p>
<p>Although Shetty was seen laughing during the event, portions of social media later criticised Singh for allegedly being insensitive to the cultural and spiritual importance of the ritual. Many users objected to the reference to Daivas as a &ldquo;ghost,&rdquo; emphasising that Daivas are revered forest deities.</p>
<p>The criticism escalated after another clip surfaced showing Shetty cautioning Singh against mimicking the performance, which triggered further online backlash.</p>
<p>Following the controversy, Ranveer Singh issued an apology, stating that he did not intend to hurt sentiments.</p>

<p>The Colombian superstar and multiple Grammy-winner is hugely popular in India. She will headline shows in Mumbai on April 10 and in Delhi on April 15, the organisers announced in a release.</p>
<p>Feeding India, a not-for-profit along with District by Zomato, is organising the third edition of the Feeding India Concert 2026. The shows are presented by HSBC India, produced and exclusively ticketed by District by Zomato.</p>

<p>Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan suffered a brain haemorrhage which has been tackled, is on ventilator support as a safeguard and stable, doctors treating him said on Wednesday, a day after he was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.</p>
<p>The 90-year-old, one half of the celebrated Salim-Javed duo which scripted films such as "Sholay", "Deewar" and "Don" with Javed Akhtar, is in the ICU and recovery might take some time given his age.</p>
<p>"His blood pressure was high for which we treated him and we had to put him on a ventilator because we wanted to do certain investigations. Now the ventilator was put as a safeguard so that his situation doesn't get worse. So it is not that he is critical," Dr Jalil Parkar told reporters.</p>
<p>"We did the investigations that were required and today we have done a small procedure on him, I will not go into the details. The procedure done is called DSA (digital subtraction angiography). The procedure has been accomplished, he is fine and stable and shifted back to ICU. By tomorrow, we hope to get him off the ventilator. All in all, he is doing quite well," he added.</p>
<p>Asked whether he suffered a brain haemorrhage, the doctor said, "Unko thoda haemorrhage hua tha, which we&rsquo;ve tackled. No surgery is required."</p>
<p>As concern over Khan's health mounted, his children, including superstar Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan, daughter Alvira, and sons-in-law Atul Agnihotri and Aayush Sharma, have been seen outside the hospital along with other well-wishers. His long-time partner Akhtar was also seen coming out of the hospital.</p>
<p>Khan, a household name in the 70s and 80s, turned 90 on November 24 last year. It was the day Dharmendra, the star of many of his films, including "Sholay", "Seeta aur Geeta" and "Yaadon Ki Baraat", passed away.</p>
<p>Hailing from an affluent family in Indore, Khan arrived in Mumbai in his 20s with dreams of stardom. He was good looking and confident he would make a mark in the industry as an actor. But that did not happen. And then, after struggling for close to a decade and getting confined to small roles in films, he changed lanes.</p>
<p>He worked as an assistant to Abrar Alvi and soon met Akhtar to form one of Hindi cinema's most formidable writing partnerships. They worked together on two dozen movies with most of them achieving blockbuster status.</p>
<p>Other than "Sholay", "Deewar" and "Don", Khan and Akhtar also penned "Trishul", "Zanjeer", "Seeta Aur Geeta", "Haathi Mere Saathi", "Yaadon Ki Baarat" and "Mr India".</p>

<p>French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron sat down with some of India&rsquo;s top filmmakers and actors in Mumbai, turning a formal engagement into an animated exchange about cinema, culture and collaboration.</p>
<p>The two-hour meeting over lunch, which began at 12:30 PM at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, brought together names such as Zoya Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Manoj Bajpayee, Anil Kapoor, Kabir Khan, Neeraj Ghaywan, Richa Chadha and Grammy Award-winning composer Ricky Kej.</p>
<p>The spirited discussion centred around how France and India can deepen collaboration through the film industries and expand the scope of storytelling.</p>
<p>Kej, who was part of the French delegation, said President Macron had lunch with Indian filmmakers and actors.</p>
<p>"Everybody talked about how we can bring together the relationship between France and India through filmmaking, and how we can tell French stories in India and vice versa. We also discussed how we can benefit financially and make good films that cross over between the two countries," Kej told PTI.</p>
<p>The lunch featured a sophisticated Indo-French fusion menu, blending classic techniques with vibrant local flavours. Guests sampled an Indian take on ratatouille, paneer bhurji dumplings, strawberry desserts and kulfi &mdash; a symbolic reminder of how traditions can merge without losing their identity.</p>
<p>For Anil Kapoor, the afternoon carried a personal highlight.</p>
<p>According to Kej, Brigitte Macron had spoken during her flight about how much she loved the 2008 Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.</p>
<p>So when Kapoor walked into the room, Kej quickly introduced them.</p>
<p>"Madam Brigitte Macron was happy to meet Anil Kapoor. It was a huge coincidence, as yesterday on the plane, she was talking about how she loved the film, &lsquo;Slumdog Millionaire&rsquo;. Today, when Anil Kapoor walked in, I immediately took him to meet her, and she was like: 'He was there in the film&rsquo;,&rdquo; Kej said.</p>
<p>Kapoor said a meaningful and forward-looking conversation followed about how India and France can strengthen their creative collaboration.</p>
<p>"It was encouraging to discuss how our industries, artists, and storytellers can work more closely together to build stronger cultural bridges through cinema,&rdquo; the veteran actor told PTI.</p>
<p>Kapoor expressed his gratitude, saying he was "deeply touched" by the First Lady's genuine appreciation for his work.</p>
<p>"What made the meeting especially memorable was the warmth and graciousness of his (the French President's) wife. She was incredibly kind and generous, and I was deeply touched to hear how familiar she was with my work and how much she appreciated the international films I&rsquo;ve been part of," Kapoor said.</p>
<p>Kapoor, who played the memorable game show host in the Danny Boyle-directed drama, said the encounter stayed with him.</p>
<p>"What made it special was her warmth. She was incredibly kind and generous. The way she spoke about 'Slumdog Millionaire' and even 'Mission: Impossible' felt so genuine. It&rsquo;s always humbling when your work travels across borders and resonates with someone in that way," the actor said.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Slumdog Millionaire&rdquo; had bagged eight awards, including two Oscars for AR Rahman for Best Original Score and Best Song for 'Jai Ho', which was penned by lyricist Gulzar.</p>
<p>The 2008 film, which won eight Academy Awards, remains one of the most internationally recognised projects featuring Indian talent &mdash; with AR Rahman winning two Oscars for &ldquo;Jai Ho&rdquo; and the original score, and Resul Pookutty earning an Academy Award for sound mixing.</p>
<p>The movie also won the award for best film, best director, and best adapted screenplay for Simon Beaufoy.</p>
<p>Kej, who flew with President Macron from Paris, said he is honoured to be part of the French delegation to India.</p>
<p>"I was in Paris, and I was invited to be part of the delegation with President Macron and Madame Brigitte. It was a beautiful experience, and I got to have dinner with President Macron on the plane. We talked about culture, soft power, music, and the role music can play in making this world a better place,&rdquo; the music composer said.</p>
<p>President Macron is in India from February 17 to 19 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the AI Impact Summit and hold bilateral discussions. This marks his fourth visit to India &mdash; and his first to Mumbai.</p>

Shah Rukh Khan, however, brushes off the power the title bestows on him, saying it&rsquo;s less an identity and more &ldquo;a reminder to live with heart, humility, and purpose&rdquo;.</p>
<p>&ldquo;The word 'king' has never meant power to me. It has always been about responsibility -- to the people who believe in you and the stories you choose to tell...,&rdquo; Shah Rukh told PTI in an email interview.</p>

<p>Shah Rukh, whose association with Disney began in 2004 with the Hindi version of "The Incredibles", titled "Hum Hain Lajawaab", said animation&rsquo;s limitless possibilities continue to inspire him and the films have been a big part of their family time.</p>
<p>"I find that there&rsquo;s an emotional honesty to animation... There are no human beings in 'The Lion King', and yet this is a deeply human story at its core, centered around the relationship between a father and son, exploring themes of love and loss. That&rsquo;s the magic of animation.</p>
<p>&ldquo;It helps us reflect on our own lives and relationships in profound ways. I believe this is why stories such as 'The Lion King' endure and are so well-loved even after 30 years," he said.</p>
<p>Terming his latest project with Disney, which will debut during the vessel&rsquo;s maiden voyage from Singapore on March 10, a &ldquo;full-circle moment&rdquo;, Khan said returning to the world of "The Lion King" feels like &ldquo;coming home&rdquo;.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m excited that more families and fans across Asia will now get to celebrate this classic tale and its iconic music in a brand-new way, creating lasting memories at sea.&rdquo;</p>
<p>"That emotional connection and celebration of storytelling, where nostalgia and newness come together to make magic, are what make this project truly special and why I happily said &lsquo;yes&rsquo;," he added.</p>
<p>&ldquo;The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky&rdquo; will feature pyrotechnics, immersive lighting effects and a music-driven narrative unfolding above the ship.</p>

<p>The Supreme Court questioned the title of filmmaker Neeraj Pandey&rsquo;s film &lsquo;Ghooskhor Pandat&rsquo;, issued notices to the Centre and CBFC, and sought an affidavit stating it does not denigrate any community.</p>

<p>Observing that a section of society cannot be denigrated in the name of freedom of expression, the Supreme Court on Thursday rapped filmmaker Neeraj Pandey over the title of his movie 'Ghooskhor Pandat'.</p>
<p>The top court was hearing a plea seeking a stay on the release of the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer film on OTT platform Netflix.</p>
<p>A bench of Justices B V Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuyan issued notices to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Central Board of Film Certification and Pandey on a plea against the movie.</p>
<p>"Why should you denigrate a section of society by using such a title. Freedom of expression is one thing. That doesn&rsquo;t give license to denigrate anybody. This is against morality and public order. We will not allow you to release the film unless you tell us the changed title...We thought filmmakers, journalists, etc are responsible people," the bench said.</p>
<p>The top court directed Pandey to file an affidavit that the film 'Ghooskhor Pandat' doesn't denigrate any section of society.</p>
<p>During the hearing, the counsel appearing for the filmmaker submitted that a new title has not been decided as yet and assured the court that it will be such that there will not be any conflict.</p>
<p>"You make a submission that you will not have this title. We are fully respecting the right under Article 19(1)(a). But there are certain restrictions. We want to include the aspect of fraternity. It is one of the basic principles of the Constitution. We want to relate this matter to fraternity.</p>
<p>Why can&rsquo;t there be a restraint when you try to make this kind of division when there are already fissures in society. Why should you denigrate anybody? Why should you denigrate a section of society by this kind of title? Being woke is one thing. But denigrating the public and creating this kind of unrest. You are adding to the unrest," the bench observed.</p>
<p>The matter would be heard again on February 19.</p>
<p>The plea alleged that the movie promotes caste and religion-based stereotyping and threatens public order, communal harmony, and constitutional values.</p>
<p>'Ghooskhor Pandat', produced by Pandey, was announced by Netflix at an event in Mumbai recently.</p>
<p>It also stars Nushrat Bharuccha, Saqib Saleem, Akshay Oberoi, and Divya Dutta.</p>
<p>The top court was hearing a PIL filed by Atul Mishra, National Organisation Secretary of the Brahman Samaj of India, seeking directions to stay the release of the movie.</p>
<p>The plea alleged that the movie title and storyline are prima facie offensive and derogatory, which portray the Brahmin community in a defamatory manner.</p>
<p>The PIL objected to the use of the word &ldquo;Pandat&rdquo;, a caste and religion-identifying title, alongside &ldquo;Ghooskhor&rdquo;, which denotes bribery and moral corruption.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, Netflix India had informed the Delhi High Court that the film will be renamed.</p>
<p>"The producer has taken a conscious decision in light of the concern that has arisen to change the title of the film from 'Ghooskhor Pandat' to an alternate title which more accurately reflects the film's narrative and intent," the HC had recorded.</p>

<p>Bollywood superstar Salman Khan&rsquo;s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma has allegedly received a threat email, police have said, the development coming close on the heels of actor Ranveer Singh getting a threat through WhatsApp.</p>
<p>The sender of the email to Sharma, who is also an actor, claimed he was a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, they said on Wednesday, without providing further details.</p>
<p>Though there was no formal complaint, the police have launched a probe in connection with the threat email to Sharma, an official said.</p>
<p>Crime branch sleuths are verifying whether the email was genuine or somebody played mischief, he said.</p>
<p>Recently, actor Ranveer Singh received a threat through a voice note on WhatsApp from unidentified persons.</p>
<p>Police suspect members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang could be behind the threat to Ranveer made with the purpose of extortion, an official said on Tuesday.</p>
<p>Last week, an unidentified shooter fired five rounds at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's residence in Mumbai's Juhu area.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Principal photography for the project was completed in February 2026, a development confirmed by lead actors Shweta Tripathi and Ali Fazal. The film is expected to continue the gritty narrative that made the series one of the most watched Indian web shows.</p>
<p>One of the major highlights of the film is the return of Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya, despite the character&rsquo;s apparent death in the second season of the series. His comeback has emerged as one of the most talked-about aspects of the upcoming release.</p>
<p>The core cast from the original series remains intact. Pankaj Tripathi will reprise his role as Akhandanand &ldquo;Kaleen&rdquo; Tripathi, alongside Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Shweta Tripathi as Golu Gupta, and Abhishek Banerjee as Subodh, popularly known as Compounder.</p>
<p>Mirzapur: The Film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who had previously helmed several key episodes of the web series. The project is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under their banner, Excel Entertainment.</p>

<p>Following the massive box office success of "Dhurandhar", Ranveer Singh on Tuesday shared the highly anticipated teaser of "Dhurandhar: The Revenge", the film's second part, which showcases his character of spy-gangster Hamza Ali Mazari transform into a killing machine in his quest for vengeance.</p>
<p>At the end of the over one-minute-long teaser, Singh's voiceover declares "Ye naya Hindustan Hai, ghar me ghusega bhi aur maarega bhi" (It's new India. We will not only infiltrate the enemy territory but also kill).</p>

<p>Slated to arrive in cinemas on March 19 Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages, the Aditya Dhar-directed film shows the younger version of Singh's Jaskirat Singh. The new movie will focus on Jaskirat's backstory and what led to his transformation as Hamza.</p>
<p>"Dhurandhar", which released on December 5, turned out to be a blockbuster by earning over Rs 1,300 crore at the box office. The first part is now streaming on Netflix.</p>
<p>Actors R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt also return in the teaser briefly, which promises to be high on action and violence.</p>
<p>Set in Lyari town of Karachi, an area known for its history of gang wars and violent turf battles, "Dhurandhar" revolved around covert intelligence operations at the background of geopolitical and terror events like Kandahar plane hijack, 2001 Parliament Attack and 26/11 Mumbai attacks.</p>
<p>The film was produced by Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar through their banner B62 Studios alongside Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios.</p>

<p>The Kerala High Court granted a 13-day interim stay on the release of The Kerala Story 2-Goes Beyond, observing prima facie non-application of mind by the CBFC while certifying the film.</p>

<p>The Kerala High Court on Thursday granted an interim stay against the release of the film "The Kerala Story 2-Goes Beyond", saying that prima facie there is non-application of mind by the censor board while certifying the movie.</p>
<p>Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas passed the order on two pleas challenging the release of the film.</p>
<p>The film was scheduled to be released on February 27.</p>
<p>The court in its order also said that the guidelines for ensuring a film does not disrupt social harmony appear not to have been adhered to by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).</p>
<p>"Prima facie, these guidelines do not seem to have been borne in mind by the CBFC while granting certification and there is a manifest disregard of the applicable law, necessitating this court to interfere," it said.</p>
<p>It also said that dissemination of content, which has a tendency to create discord, disturb law and order, even undermine social harmony cannot come within the gamut of freedom of speech and expression enshrined in Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution of India.</p>
<p>The court directed the central government to consider and pass orders within two weeks from Thursday on a revision petition moved by one of the petitioners -- Sreedev Namboodiri -- against the certification given to the movie.</p>
<p>The court said the Centre has to give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, CBFC and the producer -- Vipul Amrutlal Shah -- before passing any order on the revision petition.</p>
<p>"In the meantime, there will be an interim stay on the release of the film "The Kerala Story 2-Goes Beyond", and the respondent 2 (CBFC) and respondent 3 (Shah) are directed to ensure that the movie is not released for public viewing for a period of 13 days from today," the court said.</p>
<p>Three separate pleas have sought to quash the CBFC certificate granted to the film.</p>
<p>Of the three, the court dismissed one for lack of locus standi and allowed the remaining two, including the one by Namboodiri.</p>
<p>Besides quashing the movie's certification, Namboodiri's plea filed through advocate Maitreyi Sachidananda Hegde had also sought modifications, including reconsideration of the film's title.</p>
<p>The petitioner had alleged that the film was certified without due compliance with the statutory requirements under the Cinematograph Act, 1952.</p>

<p>Amitabh Bachchan has started shooting for &ldquo;Kalki 2&rdquo; and shared behind-the-scenes photos with Kamal Haasan, marking their first collaboration since 1985&rsquo;s &ldquo;Geraftaar&rdquo;.</p>

<p>Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared behind the scenes photos with Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan from the sets of the "Kalki 2", which marks their first project together since 1985's "Geraftaar".</p>
<p>In a post on his official blog on Tumblr, the 83-year-old said he has begun shooting for the project, which is a follow-up to the 2024 Telugu blockbuster &ldquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rdquo;.</p>
<p>"Meeting up with the great KAMAL HAASAN &hellip; we shall be working together after ages .. last in 'Giraftar'," Bachchan wrote.</p>
<p>In the photos, the two cinema icons are seen sharing a warm hug, with Bachchan dressed as Ashwatthama, the character he essayed in the first part."</p>
<p>'Kalki 2' begun the work .. and shall ever cherish the love and affection of anticipated presence on the Sunday .. but hopefully shall be with all this coming Sunday," he added.</p>
<p>Inspired by Hindu scriptures, &ldquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rdquo; served as the first instalment in the planned Kalki Cinematic Universe in 2024.</p>
<p>Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the film followed a group of people set out to save a woman pregnant with Lord Vishnu&rsquo;s 10th and final avatar, Kalki, from an evil supreme god-king, Yaskin.</p>
<p>It featured Prabhas as Bhairava/Karna, Bachchan as Ashwatthama, Haasan as Supreme Yaskin and Deepika Padukone as Sumathi aka SUM-80.The film released in June 2024 and earned over Rs 1000 crore at the global box office.</p>
<p>Bachchan also shared images of a crowd waiting outside his Mumbai residence Jalsa to catch a glimpse of the actor.</p>
<p>"Told them that this Sunday I shall not be able to come , since I was shooting in Hyderabad .. but still they come .. to confirm ... but apologies .. work first .. rest later," he said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The couple is set to tie the knot on February 26 at a hotel on the outskirts of the city of lakes. According to sources, pre-wedding functions are likely to be organised over two days before the main ceremony.</p>
<p>Both actors reached Udaipur on separate flights on Monday and left for the hotel amid security arrangements.</p>
<p>Over the last few months, there have been several reports about Mandanna and Deverakonda's wedding. However, neither of the actors confirmed the news despite several public appearances.</p>
<p>Mandanna penned a note on her social media on Sunday as she confirmed her wedding with Deverakonda.</p>
<p>She expressed gratitude to her fans for their constant support and said the couple would like to name their union "The Wedding of Virosh".</p>
<p>Deverakonda, who has starred in several successful Telugu films, including "Arjun Reddy", enjoys a significant fan following across India.</p>
<p>Mandanna, a leading actress in Telugu and Kannada cinema, gained widespread recognition with films such as "Geetha Govindam" and "Pushpa: The Rise".</p>
<p>Udaipur, often referred to as the "City of Lakes&rdquo;, is known for its picturesque setting, palaces and heritage properties and has emerged as one of the top wedding destinations.</p>
<p>The city is surrounded by the Aravalli hills and is home to iconic water bodies like Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake, which have made it a sought-after destination for tourism and grand celebrations.</p>
<p>In recent years, Udaipur has hosted several high-profile weddings, including that of actress Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha in 2023 and the daughter of US billionaire Rama Raju Mantena in 2025, among others.</p>
