The real reason why Divya Khossla dropped her husband Bhushan Kumar’s surname on Instagram

Divya Khossla and her husband Bhushan Kumar are not heading for divorce. After several reports speculated about the couple’s fallout, Bhushan Kumar’s team has broken silence on the matter, dismissing all the reports about their divorce.

How did the rumours start

Divya Khossla, earlier Divya Khosla Kumar, recently dropped ‘Kumar’ from her name on Instagram. This fuelled the rumours of couple’s divorce, forcing Bhushan Kumar’s team to issue a statement.

T-Series statement

In an interview to Zoom,a T-Series spokesperson clarified that the reports of couple’s divorce are not right. Revealing the real reason behind Divya’s name change, the spokesperson clarified that Divya’s Instagram name change is due to astrological reasons. He said, “Divya Khossla’s choice to drop her married surname, driven by astrological beliefs, is a personal decision and should be respected. The addition of an ‘s’ to her maiden surname, symbolising her astrological belief, is for the same thought.”

About Divya and Bhushan Kumar’s relationship

Bhushan Kumar, the chairman and managing director of T-Series, and Divya have been married for 19 years. The couple have a son named Ruhaan Kumar. Divya was last seen in ‘Yaariyan 2’.
