Tamannaah Bhatia asks for more time in illegal IPL streaming case as she reacts to summons: Report

Tamannaah Bhatia has recently reacted to the summons by Maharashtra Cyber Cell and asked for a later date. Although the actress has yet to issue a statement to the press, she has requested the Cyber Cell to give a later date to appear. The actor was called in for questioning as a witness on April 29. Earlier, actor Sanjay Dutt was also asked to appear before the court but he could not appear because of his busy shoot schedule.

Tamannaah Bhatia replies to summons by Maharashtra Cyber Cell

Sources informed News 18 that Tammanah Bhatia has asked for a new date. “Tamannaah Bhatia has informed the cyber team that she is not in Mumbai, and could appear again at a later date,” sources said. Cyber Cell is yet to announce the new date.

Last week ANI reported, “Maharashtra Cyber summons actor Tamannaah Bhatia for questioning in connection with the illegal streaming of IPL 2023 on Fairplay App that caused loss of Crores of Rupees to Viacom. She has been asked to appear before Maharashtra Cyber on 29th April."

Bhatia has been summoned by the Maharashtra cyber cell for allegedly promoting the viewing of the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches on the Fairplay betting app, he said.

Some of the IPL matches were also streamed illegally on the app in 2023, officials said citing a complaint in this connection.

The actor was last seen in 'Aakhri Sach' alongside Abhishek Banerjee. She will next be seen in 'Aranmanai 4' .
